Playing as the teacher
In Worst Class Ever, one player is the strict teacher. Steam says that player hunts the troublemakers hiding among NPC students, stops the classroom pranks, and restores order. The full game is still upcoming (planned November 9, 2026), so this page is the store’s role summary, not a tactic sheet.
The job Steam describes
The store page puts a single teacher in a room of students. Up to five other players are the mischievous ones. Dozens of NPC classmates fill out the crowd, which is the cover the human students use. The teacher’s stated goal is to identify every troublemaker, stop the pranks, and put the class back in order.
Steam’s line for the fantasy is: “You’re the naughtiest class I’ve ever taught!” The page tells the teacher player to watch details. It says subtle tricks, evasive glances, and abnormal behavior should not get past them.
What the teacher is said to notice
The store text names these tells, without defining how they look in play:
- Subtle tricks
- Evasive glances
- Abnormal behavior in the crowd
Students, meanwhile, are told to disguise themselves and move when the teacher turns away. The pranks they are trying to finish are sneaking snacks, passing notes, and using phones. Those actions are written up on the student guide.
Detective props
Steam says teachers can use professional detective props to locate hidden students, break a disguise, and see through tricks. It also says prop combinations create funny moments. It never names a single teacher item. Student items that are named — smoke bombs, stun guns, and drones — are described as tools that make the teacher’s search harder. The props page keeps that split.
Where the match happens
The teacher is hunting across the maps Steam names: bright daily classrooms, dim evening study rooms, and fully-equipped computer labs. Steam says each room has its own hiding spots and mechanisms. It does not draw them. The maps page stops at the published names.
Player count on the store page is 1–6. The written role split is five students and one teacher. How a smaller lobby assigns the teacher seat is not stated.
